This salad dressing is inspired by those delicious, yet noticeably simple, salads that you get when you go eat at the Japanese steak house. There is never anything in those salads, except some iceberg and maybe some shredded carrot, but we love it anyway… because of that ginger dressing! So whip this up and just grab a bag of premixed iceberg salad at the grocery store. You’ll look like you’ve been planning it all week!
Japanese Ginger Salad Dressing
3/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup sesame oil
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 lemon, juiced
3 cloves garlic, minced
3 tbsp minced ginger
1 tsp dijon mustard
1 tsp honey
fresh ground black pepper, to taste
In a food processor, blend all the ingredients except the oils and pepper. Add the oils in a slow stream as you continue to blend. When all the oil in incorporated, transfer to a container and stir in fresh ground pepper to taste. Refrigerate till ready to serve! Seriously, so delicious. My husband was practically licking his salad bowl when he was done!
