Day 4 of The 7 Day Diet is up to 8 bananas and 8 glasses of skim milk. Okay, you really have to start this day with an open mind and a plan to keep yourself busy and distracted. Luckily you have had 3 days of denying yourself anything outside the parameters of the diet, so you should be getting used to saying “No!” to the temptation of that juicy cheeseburger. And just keep reminding yourself that you get to have chicken tomorrow! I suggest starting the day with a LARGE banana smoothie! It will fill your belly and keep you moving for a while. Since your using the dreaded, watered down skim milk, freezing the bananas and some milk, the night before, will prevent you having to use ice cubes and eventually getting an even thinner consistency in the shake. You can pour the milk in an ice tray to freeze cubes and then pop them in the blender with a banana and a splash of unfrozen milk. Add a dash of vanilla extract or even raspberry extract to give it a brighter fruitier flavor.
Instead of eating a lunch, snack on regular ‘ol bananas throughout the day followed by large glasses of milk, or water. I wasn’t a fan of eating the Weight Watchers yogurt, but if you are snack on that too!
For dinner have cereal! Okay, not real cereal… banana chip cereal! Shop for banana chips with no added sugar, crunch them up into a big bowl and pour some lovely skim milk on top! It’s a super crunchy experience that breaks up the mushy texture you’ve had all day. Maybe sprinkle some cinnamon on top.
And for a midnight snack, how about Chocolate Banana Ice Cream! Oh yeah! Now were talking! This recipe is fantastic! And great for kids that you don’t want to load up on sugar. It scoops so smoothly and its just luscious and velvety!
2 frozen bananas
1/2 cup skim milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp cocoa powder
Toss all the ingredients into a blender of food processor and mix till smooth. Pour into a bowl and cover the surface of the ice cream with plastic wrap. Freeze till hardened a bit, maybe an hour or so. Scoop and serve!
